Live sketching at conferences, meetings, and training events has become very popular recently.

Unlike some practitioners, I tend to focus on drawing the participants, linking them to some of the ideas being discussed. This is much less intrusive than photography, but seems to affirm participants and their role in the event. Often, they want to keep this record of the day. Their participation in the event makes the sketches special, and their inclusion in the sketches makes the event special and easier to remember.

During the event, I can either display sketches where participants can look at them during a break, or photograph and share images using social media during sessions.

Afterwards, I’m happy to share digital images with all participants at no extra cost, and organisers and participants can also order high quality signed giclee prints to frame and keep.
