In 2010 the Windmill Hill Community Choir performed Mozart’s Requiem at the end of the local Arts Trail, Art on the Hill. St Michael and All Angels Church was packed but I didn’t mind standing through the whole thing. I especially remember running towards the church and hearing the overture to The Magic Flute rolling out over the hill.

This is carol singing in Victoria Park in 2010, also with some snow.

Churches Together in Knowle and Totterdown and the Community of Perretts Park organise Carol Singing in Perretts Park, Lower Knowle, every year. The churches provide the music and the park people provide mulled wine. In 2009 there was lots of ice and then a dusting of snow – the first of the year.
