People were sitting out today, albeit buttoned up and swaddled in scarves, because the sun was finally truly shining. Mrs. Browns in Victoria Park ran out of Twisters and Magnum Caramels.
Drawn on the same day that Victoria Park was photographed for the front page of the Guardian. This was later on, I’m sure, when the snow was muddier and the light was turning pink. Trudging up the hill, I overheard several parents describing hot and wholesome suppers to tempt their children home.
These pictures are for a commission for which I have already been handsomely paid with two mugs of Mrs. Brown’s excellent Earl Grey tea, a flapjack bite, and a Magnum Classic. Delicious.
The gentleman in the hat bought this print yesterday at Art on the Hill, I’m looking forward to finding out who all the others are. Discount if you’re in the picture!
