Not sure whether this one is finished but I felt I just had to put it on the blog today, when Bradley Wiggins won his Gold Medal in the Olympic Time Trial.

I did this sketch on Saturday in Leatherhead High Street, waiting for the Road Race to pass by. That race was rather less of a success for Great Britain but there was still a great atmosphere as we waited, cheering every police and support vehicle that passed.

Of course you can’t see it properly here. The whole of my ‘waiting’ trilogy (waiting for the flame, waiting for the flotilla, waiting for the road race) will be on show at Art on the Hill on the 6th and 7th October 2012.
